Company Rating: Ask the Seal.com is a consumer protection driven organization. We are aware of the popularity of published consumer reviews of companies but do not believe they are in the best interest of consumers. Unless it is a closed transaction based system such as eBay, rating systems are fraught with problems and give consumers a false sense of security. In an open rating system, companies can have family and friends enter positive ratings. Conversely, competitors can give companies bad ratings. The only way to truly monitor quality is by providing quality surveys to consumers and looking at the results as a whole and not any one individual review. Ask the Seal monitors survey results and trends and acts accordingly to protect our consumers.

Companies listed on the better business bureau site as “unsatisfactory “ or a Grade of C or below will be removed from our site upon annual recertification or our becoming aware of such status.
